Thirty years ago I visited the Mail Rail in London with my parents, which inspired the story of the Sorters all these years later. It was incredible to return to the same place, now housing The Postal Museum, to launch Wishyouwas into the world surrounded by my parents, family, friends from the world of writing, illustration, publishing and the museum, and possibly even a few Sorters, keeping hidden in the shadows!
I had the evening of a lifetime, signing so many books the museum ran out of stock. Here’s an image of Penny and me.
